As from 2014, some workshops will be organized in other locations. ***
The museum’s Education & Culture Department has been organizing workshops for kindergarten, primary, secondary and special education for over 15 years. The workshops are always based on an introduction to the museum’s historic collection, but mainly focus on Africa today.
After a visit to the museum, the activities continue in adapted and imaginative surroundings. African activity leaders and artists help develop the workshops and the museum’s scientists are responsible for their content.
The teacher receives teaching material for most workshops that can be used to continue working on the subjects back in the classroom.
Schools can also take part in general and thematic guided tours. The guide uses as much didactic material as possible to make the tours even more interesting.
