Central Africa: Memory versus history

Workshop history

Africa had a history well before colonisation, and the museum's collections are proof of that.

Youngsters will look at the key points and issues of the colonisation and decolonisation of Congo, Rwanda and Burundi from a broader perspective.

During the workshop, they will:

  • learn the complexity of history and the diversity of memories
  • hone their critical thinking skills
  • create links between the past and the present
