Through the organization of courses, the RMCA wishes to contribute to local capacity improvement and meet the demand for education in the RMCA’s areas of expertise. It also stimulates cooperation with African universities and scientific institutions.

INDIVIDUAL RESIDENTIAL COURSES
Residential courses in the various scientific departments of the RMCA are meant for scientists from sub-Saharan Africa. They offer the researchers the possibility of consulting the collections, libraries and databanks and using the RMCA’s equipment as part of a well-defined research project the candidate is carrying out in his institution.
The RMCA cannot provide theoretical courses and does not accept individual requests. Only research projects of university-educated scientists as part of research supported by a university, study centre or ministry of a sub-Saharan African country are eligible.
The hosting possibilities in the various departments of the RMCA are limited and largely depend on current research projects and the availability of the scientists. Research assistance of scientific staff is limited to orientation, consultation or guidance and therefore does not involve coaching.
