thierry.jpgThierry Ouedraogo was born in Burkina Faso and came to Belgium to study Psychology. He is currently in the process of completing his studies. Ouedraogo has always painted; he works with oil on canvas but also on glass and even on plates.

In his work he finds associations with the West-African tradition, both in his subject matter and techniques. Masks, ritual objects and scenes from daily African life are recurrent themes in his work. His work is not just traditional but modern as well due to the way in which form and colour are used and through his technique, characterised by stylisation and symbolism.
