Congo River. 4700 Kilometres Bursting with Nature and Culture

Temporary exhibition

Begin April 27, 2010 End January 09, 2011

In connection with the International Year of Biodiversity, the Museum is organizing in 2010 an interactive exhibition featuring the great Congo River.

A spellbinding river over 4,500 kilometres long and up to 30 kilometres wide, flowing silent and calm across plains or roaring furiously through rapids and waterfalls, it’s Central Africa’s main artery, the source of extraordinary biological, geographical and cultural diversity.

The exhibition will follow the Congo from source to mouth through equatorial forest, using a multidisciplinary approach based on RMCA collections and research.
