• Meeting description
  The Third International Conference on Bantu Languages brought together not only specialists in different domains of the study of Bantu languages, but also researchers interested in the (pre)history of Bantu-speaking populations. 
• Keynote speakers
  - Vladimir Plungian (Institute of Linguistics, Moscow, Russia)
  - André Motingea Mangulu (Université pédagogique nationale, Kinshasa, RD Congo)
  - Jan Rijkhoff (Aarhus Universitet, Denmark)
• Main topics
  The majority of papers presented during the conference addressed one of the following three themes:
  (i) grammaticalization and semantic change
  (ii) historical linguistics and multidisciplinary approaches to the history of Bantu-speaking peoples
  (iii) the noun phrase.
