  • Scientific research in the field of wood biology (anatomy and dendrochronology) of tropical trees
  • Management of the scientific reference collection of wood samples (the Xylarium of Tervuren - Tw)

  • Study of the ecological anatomy of wood in Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Contractual research on the anatomy of wood and on dendrochronology (worldwide domain)
  • Identification of wood species (worldwide domain)

  • Training
    An introductory course on the anatomy of wood and a guided tour of the Xylarium can be arranged on request for interested groups.
