Publications

The RMCA is the only federal scientific institution in Belgium with its own publication service. Though the Service has officially existed since only 2003, the Museum has always published its own publications.

Since its establishment in 1897, the RMCA has published more than 1,400 publications in various fields: zoology, biology, geology, ethnology, history, etc.
Most are research works – series, monographs and periodicals – but the Museum also publishes its owns exhibition catalogues, museum guides, music recordings, etc.

Our scientists also write for many international publications and reviews.
