A night at the museum
Up until the end of March 5th and 6th year primary school pupils can go on a nocturnal adventure in the Royal Museum for Central Africa. Schools signed up several months ago and ten classes have been selected at random from the numerous entries. On Tuesday 24 January primary school pupils from Don Bosco Halle were overflowing with enthusiasm for their night at the museum.
They went looking for lost treasure by torchlight and bumped into a number of strange figures along the way. With Mama LĂ©ona’s help they cooked a tasty Congolese meal before transforming the African village of Nianga into an enormous bedroom. After a short sleep there was more singing, dancing and playing of music the following morning.
Tip: During the summer holidays children will also get the opportunity to spend a night in the museum as part of a holiday course.
