Closing Weekend to Go Down in Museum’s History !
RMCA to close its doors after weekend of 30 November and 1 December 2013.
On 1 December 2013, the Royal Museum for Central Africa will close for renovation works lasting several years.
The museum would like to make this last weekend a milestone in its long history.
Varied activities for all ages are on the programme: concerts, dance and music workshops, plays, creative workshops in the ‘African village’ Nianga, storytelling sessions, video booths, and more.
Sunday will be staunchly musical, with percussion demonstrations, songs and dance from Burundi, gospel with Zion Gospel, polyphonic songs with Nabindibo, and to finish the groupe Weli with Nicole Bongo-Letuppe and Fredy Massamba.
The short films from the ‘Museum of the reels’ audiovisual project will also be screened throughout the weekend.
Grab this chance to visit our current permanent exhibition for the last time!
