The RMCA collaborates with institutions and museums throughout the African continent, both to encourage their integration into international networks and to contribute to sustainable development in Africa.
A substantial part of the internal and external activities of the RMCA are dedicated to development cooperation. In this field, the Museum receives support from the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the European institutions, but its main partner is Belgian Development Cooperation. (DGD)

International projects and networks
RMCA scientists in all disciplines participate in international projects and networks to which they contribute their expertise with a view to enhancing research and knowledge on a wider stage.
In Belgium, the Museum takes part in research and exchanges in formal collaboration with universities and other federal regional scientific institutions.
In addition, the RMCA provides training sessions and study visits for African scientists.
