Notice : The Muhira river knowns increasing variability in his hydrograph. In the mean time the river becomes of the braided type. Inundations hamper sustainable agricultural development of the valleys. Lateral erosion destabilises the river banks and the hillslopes upslope. Mass movements. The high sediment load of the river water is due to mineral, mainly gold, exploitation upstream. Flood. Natural hazard. Natural risk.
