The family of Jane Tercafs offered plaster bas-reliefs to the RMCA illustrating "Mangbetu legends and customs" (RMCA, ethnographic dossier No. 1049). Jane Tercafs dealt with the symbolism of these bas-reliefs in "Religions and legends of the Belgian Congo (territory of the Mangbetu)", published in Brussels by La Phalange in 1939.
