Notice : Cavities, galleries, caves, rockshelters are developed within the Eocene Thebes limestone. Although their origin is considered as the result of solution (karst), they currently evolve by physical weathering: spalling off, flaking, rock splitting. The Sodmein rock shelter, shown here, contains a lot of Paehistoric lithic artefacts. Archaeology.
