Culture and Society

  • Our team runs substantial documentation centres (databases and libraries).
  • We host and provide logistic support to researchers from all parts of the world, and provide scientific supervision for Belgian and international students. We also supervise African PhD students thanks to our collaboration with several scientific institutions in Central Africa.
  • Educational books are designed for schools and universities, in close collaboration with the Education and Culture service, or in Africa with local education authorities.
  • Scientific expertise is called upon on occasion to address media enquiries regarding current news, events, and issues relating to questions of African – particularly Central African – culture or identity.
  • By participating in the RMCA's museum mission, we place a great importance on communicating the main results of our research to the public.
