Between history and anthropology, this project is undertaking an in –depth history of the Museum during the period 1925-2010. This research will give greater place to pluri-, or inter-disciplinarity, beginning with the RMCA Archives which, for the first time, will be completely exploited. This could give an input to the Museum's modernisation. This project is a follow up to Maarten Couttenier’s publication: “Congo tentoongesteld. Een geschiedenis van de Belgische antropologie en het museum van Tervuren (1882-1925)”, co-published by ACCO and the RMCA.
