| Notice : | Cavities, galleries, shafts, rock shelters in the Thebes limestone are generally considered as having a karstic origin (solution). At present, however, they evolve mostly by physical weathering and beakdown of the rock. Most of the hollows are extensions of existing fissures and joints in the rock. Note bag for scale. |
