Notice : | The agglomaration of the city of Bujumbura expands into the highlands to the East of the town. Houses are often constructed before road and drainage or other infrastructure like electricity is provided. During that stage the expansion belt is heavily affected by all kinds of erosion. The picture shows houses endagered by mass movements and river erosion along the Nyakivumba river. |
