Notice : | This escarpment is in origin a composite fault step. There are several traces of ancient fault planes, dipping at 48°-50° towards the camera. Huge landslides affect these slopes. The rivers in this area actively incise. To the right above the green plain in the foreground, an immense thick lobe has been cut by another fault plane. |
