| Notice : | Gully at the Maman Mobutu district swallowed since 2004 more than fifty houses. Natural hazard, natural risk. The vertical incision arrived so quickly that the walls are still steeper that the equilibrium slope on Kalahari sands. Mass wasting will affect the oversteepened walls till the latter are stabilized. Destruction of habitations and buildings, roads and sewer, water and electricity lines. |
