The stratiform Cu mineralization in the Lufukwe anticline are related to NE to ENE orientated strike slip faults that postdate deposition of the sediments of the entire Katangan Supergroup. Primary mineralization (mainly chalcopyrite, bornite and chalcocite) and supergene (digenite, covellite and native copper) mineralization are mainly concentrated in feldspar dissolution cavities, which formed after compaction and silica cementation. A post-orogenic fluid-mixing model can be proposed in which the mineralization is related to the mixing of a fluid with higher temperature (>= 180 °C) and higher salinity (>= 7.7 eq. wt.% NaCl) with a colder lower salinity fluid. The structural setting, variability in grain size and composition of the host rock has greatly affected the fluid circulation
