Become a Volunteer at the AfricaMuseum through the Erasmus+ MARVI Project

As part of MARVI, a European project funded by Erasmus+ that promotes the inclusion of people with a migration background and diaspora communities in museums and cultural institutions, the AfricaMuseum in Tervuren is currently looking for 10 volunteers to join its collections management team. 

Are you motivated to learn, actively contribute, and gain experience in a museum environment? Then this opportunity may be for you. 

Available Positions

  • Collections Management Volunteer – Art Handler / Registrar
  • Volunteer Conservator-Restorer – Ethnographic Collections

This call is specifically aimed at people with a migration or diaspora background who have a working knowledge of Dutch, French, or English.

Practical Information

  • Start: April 2026
  • Commitment: At least 1 day per week for a minimum of 3 months
