Wood production and heartwood formation of trees from African manmade forests
Large areas of planted forests exist in tropical Africa. We study the growth of the planted trees and their wood properties, including the heartwood formation. We are focusing on Tectona grandis (mainly in Ivory Coast) and Terminalia superba (in Western Congo and Ivory Coast).
