This sketch by Edouard Manduau shows the station in Leopoldville in 1884. It is often possible to see links between the sketches, paintings and photographs of the amateur artist. Manduau was also an excellent photographer if one takes the techniques of the time into account (glass plates) and the difficult conditions under which he worked.
