Notice : | River flood, taken a minute after 170, looking downstream. Flash floods are not wel documented although it is known that they occur regularly in regions where there is an alternation between wet and dry season. The increasing variability in the precipitation pattern, due to blobal change, and the general decrease of the soil infiltration capacity as a result of more intense soil use contribute to an increase in number and intensity of the flash floods, or stream floods. |
