Notice : | Agricultural fields on basaltic soils are generally covered by rock fragments, looking very much the same as so-called desert pavements. The stones are sometimes cleared and put in stone bunds or on a heap 'zala'. Stone bunds (right) contribute to soil and water conservation and land rehabilitation. |
