Notice : | The Nakheil synclinal valley has been filled up by thick deposits of bedload consisting mainly of gravels. Note the black colour of the terrace gravels due to desert varnisch, coatings, due to exsudation and to deposition at the free surface of the gravels of iron oxides. The gravels in the river bed are turned and or undergo abrasion during stream floods or flash floods. The white colour of the river bed indicates sporadic activity, preventing deposition of coates. |
