Congo Network
The main goal of CONGO 2010-Network project is to increase the efficiency to the CONGO 2010-Initiative and to develop a framework that will ensure long term relationship between Congolese researchers and the international community in the field of biodiversity and ecology, a prerequisite for the creation of local expertise to monitor biodiversity and ecosystem changes that can be used as a tool for sustainable management of threatened natural resources. To meet this objective, this project will link the CONGO 2010-Initiative (biodiversity investigation and capacity building in the DR Congo) with national and international stakeholders active in the field of biodiversity and ecosystems in the Congo River area. It will identify partners to develop collaboration, promote the exchange of information and identify existing databases or gaps in knowledge. Moreover, the project will develop activities that will lead to the continuation of its activities beyond the official end of this initiative.
