GeoRes4Dev - Call for applications - PhD position - Université de Lubumbashi
The GeoRes4Dev team is pleased to launch a call for applications for a PhD scholarship in mineral resources, in collaboration with the University of Lubumbashi.

As part of the "Geological Resources for Development – GeoRes4Dev" project funded by the Belgian cooperation, the Geodynamics and Mineral Resources Unit of the Royal Museum for Central Africa is pleased to launch a call for applications for a PhD scholarship in mineral resources, in collaboration with the University of Lubumbashi.
The call entails:
• A 3 year PhD scholarship, to be enrolled at the University of Lubumbashi, with the theme: “Origin and economic potential of Lithium-Tin-Tantalum deposits associated with pegmatites and quartz veins in the Kibara Belt – Possible extensions of the Manono-Kitotolo pegmatite system?”

Deadline for submitting the application: 26/10/2025 at 11:59 pm (local time).
Please note that the research proposal and cover letter must be in English.
Candidates selected for an interview will be notified in the week following the closing of the call. Interviews will be held early November, online and in English.
