Interactive guided tour colonial history for children

During an interactive tour designed for young participants, pupils learn about the first contacts between the Kingdom of Kongo and the Portuguese, as well as the introduction of Christianity in Central Africa. The triangular trade and the transatlantic slave trade are explained using educational materials.

The tour then explores the Berlin Conference (1884–1885) and the establishment of the Congo Free State. The activity continues with an overview of the Belgian Congo, with particular attention to the exploitation of natural resources. Resistance to colonisation is also addressed, including through the figure of Paul Panda Farnana.
