Note on the defence of the master thesis of M. Anatole Bigirimana
On June 24, 2021, was organised at the University of Burundi (UB) the public defence of the master’s thesis of Mr. Anatole Bigirimana, one of the students supervised by the Mbisa Congo II project (2019-2023), supported by the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD). His thesis was entitled: “Fish diversity of the Malagarazi Nature Reserve (MNR)”. It has been received with great distinction in the presence of members of the jury: Prof. Gaspard Ntakimazi (president, UB); Prof. Claver Sibomana (secretary, UB); Prof. Gaspard Banyankimbona (promotor, UB); and Dr. Kisekelwa Tchalondawa (co-promotor, Higher Pedagogical Institute of Bukavu, DRC), all physically present; and Dr. Emmanuel Vreven (co-promotor, RMCA, Belgium), virtually present via zoom. Thus, Mr. Anatole Bigirimana was proclaimed Master of Science in Biology of Organisms and Ecology, option Biology and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems.
