The Dikulushi vein-type mineralization is located in the northeastern part of the Lufilian foreland in Katanga (Democratic Republic of Congo). This Cu-Ag mineralization resulted from the superposition of two mineralizing phases. Firstly, a Cu-Pb-Zn-Fe sulphide phase precipitated in a complex set of EW- and NE-oriented faults that formed during Lufilian compression. This Cu-Pb-Zn-Fe mineralization was remobilized along NE-oriented rift-related faults during the Palaeozoicum and massive orthorhombic chalcocite precipitated during this second phase. In addition, supergene enrichment caused an upgrading of the primary sulphide mineralization and numerous Cu-oxydes, -hydroxydes and -silicates formed.
