| Notice : | Tufa dams started to be built up in Tigray since late-pleistocene times. They indicate more humid environmental conditions than today. Since 3000 years the dams started to desintegrate as a result of river erosion. Here the waterfall has already broken through the dam. Note the structure of the tufa deposits. |
