| Notice : | The Nakheil valley is a synclinal valley in Thebes limestone, resting upon Precambrian metamorphised rocks. This image shows the north-eastern limb of the syncline: the yellow Thebes limestone layers are dressed nearly vertically, forming to the right hoghbacks and 'flatirons' as a result of differential erosion. |
