Notice : | Wilted and withered plant remains are dryed out and are comparable to straw. These remains are transported by wind and water. Because of the generally very dry environment, bacterial and fungal activities are at a minimum and this straw remains are 'mummified' and can be preserved during a long time when captured in dry deposits like dune sands. |
